1. Who operates these sites
LocalCaptions.com and portal.localcaptions.com are operated by LocalCaptions. Contact: support@localcaptions.com. “We” and “us” refer to this seller.
2. Website use and accounts
Use the sites lawfully and provide accurate information when purchasing or creating an account. Keep account credentials confidential. Do not attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, disrupt the service or misuse another person’s account. You must have legal capacity to purchase, or appropriate authorization.
3. Price and payment
The LocalCaptions software license costs $59.99 USD as a one-time purchase. Applicable taxes and the final total are disclosed at checkout. Your payment provider may apply currency-conversion charges. Stripe processes payments; payment availability can vary by country or method. A payment processor is not the software seller.
4. Software license and delivery
The purchase grants a license to the supplied software, not ownership of its intellectual property. Personal and commercial use and unlimited installations on compatible computers you own or control are permitted under the End-User License Agreement. The license does not permit sharing or reselling the software to other people. Review that agreement before purchase and installation.
Downloads are made available after successful payment, subject to payment verification. Download promptly and retain a secure backup of the installer, required files and receipt. Permanent download access, future releases, updates and individual technical support are not included or guaranteed, except where law requires otherwise.
5. Refunds and consumer protections
All sales are final except where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy. Our refund policy explains this in detail. Nothing in these terms removes nonwaivable consumer rights. Any loss of a statutory digital-content withdrawal right requires the separate conditions and consent applicable law requires.
6. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights you hold in your media and output. Ensure you have permission to process and publish it. The site’s branding, original text and design belong to their rights holders. Third-party software components retain their own licenses; the desktop application supplies notices and corresponding media-tool sources.
7. Availability and limitations
We work to maintain useful, accurate information but do not promise uninterrupted website availability, error-free automated captions or compatibility with every system. Software-specific warranties and limitations are set out in the license, subject to mandatory law. You must review captions before relying on or publishing them.
8. Privacy
The privacy policy explains website, purchase and app data handling. It is not permission for undisclosed tracking. The app’s local processing is separate from website account and payment processing.
9. Changes and contact
Changes to these website terms apply prospectively. A later website update does not silently replace the terms governing an existing purchase. Contact us at the email address above for account, order, licensing or legal matters. These terms do not remove access to courts, regulators or remedies available under mandatory law.
